Useful Information on Traveling to Culebra
Flying to Culebra is highly recommended. It costs around $55.00 and the flight only lasts about 30 minutes from San Juan.

That being said...
It is sometimes more cost effective for larger groups flying into San Juan (air port code SJU) to take a taxi to Fajardo. The cost varies based on the number of people but I've paid $80 for three. In Fajardo you can catch the ferry which only costs. $2.25 per person. It
takes about an hour and half and CAN be a lovely ride. I don't
recommend this method as there are hassles galore in the busy season.
I however have done it many times because it is the cheapest route when
there are 3 or more people in your party.
It is also possible I'm
told to take a taxi to the bus terminal in downtown and then take
publicos all the way to Fajardo. I've heard of it costing less than
$10.00 per person. I have been told it can be done and yet I have
always failed to make it happen,
Still the cheap publico might bear looking into if your on a budget.

Renting a car in Culebra is a good idea Carlos Jeep's would be more then happy to help and have all brand new jeeps along with golf carts and mules. There are also scooters available to be rented at the airport.
